I didn’t know it at the time but my health and fitness journey started when I nearly died in a car accident where the driver of a Lamborghini lost control and hit a tree (I was the passenger).
I broke and dislocated my neck and I had an operation to fuse c3/c4 in my neck with a metal plate and pins. I was very close to being paralysed or actually losing my life.
During my 2 year recovery I put on a lot of weight and became very depressed. I was not in a good place. I was on anti-depressants, it was dark.
One day I saw myself on the TV and I didn’t recognise myself. That’s when I knew something had to be done. I tried lots of different fad diets, but couldn’t find anything that actually worked long term.
The one day to my surprise my fiancée left me and I became a full time single Dad to my two daughters. With so much going on I had a nervous break down which was the catalyst that changed my life. I decided to focus on my health and fitness to become the best version of my self, for them!
I focussed entirely on living a healthy lifestyle to constantly improve myself for my daughters and I am proud to say that it worked and I’m now in the fortunate position to have helped thousands of people as a personal trainer running a successful fitness boot camp in West Sussex, England.
I have completely transformed my body and I am on a fitness mission to get in the best shape I possibly can to inspire others. I have a goal to help over 1 million people to enjoy fitness and to chose to live a healthier lifestyle.
I joined Ben’s bootcamp on March 26th 2019, I was an unfit working mum of 3 young boys that always gave the excuse of “I’m to busy to exercise” yes I did a workout DVD at home when I could but I didn’t have the guidance and encouragement of people around me so I never pushed myself. Since finding Ben my attitude towards exercise AND diet has changed massively, I now LOVE working out, which I never thought I would say. I now MAKE the time to get to bootcamp/workout at home but put in 110% everytime as I know the benefits are well worth the effort. I have so much more energy and exercise really helps me mentally as well as physically.
The bootcamp community Ben has created is awesome so friendly and fun, we are all there for the same reason and the fact that Ben has his own weight loss story really encourages you to push yourself and believe you can get fit too. For me the biggest thing is the confidence I have gained and my body changes are a bonus. I’ve never felt or looked as good as do now. I’m excited to continue pushing myself and seeing what I can achieve in the next 16 weeks!
I was introduced to Ben at Tulleys Bootcamp a year ago tomorrow (Happy Anniversary to me haha) the support, encouragement, advice and everybody involved in bootcamp have helped me get as far as I have. Looking forward to seeing my progress this year, I may well be able to have a summer bod finally after many many years.
